Nashville Sounds announce Ashton Lansdell as replacement for MLB’s Home Run Derby X event – Clarksville Online

The sounds of NashvilleNashville, Tennessee: The most beautiful beaches – In cooperation with Major League Baseball, the Nashville Sounds have announced that Ashton Lansdell will replace Mia Davidson-Smith in the MLB Home Run Derby X at First Horizon Park on Saturday, August 31, 2024.

A Home Run Derby X veteran since 2022, Lansdell has done it all on the baseball field. A trailblazing infielder, she made USA Baseball’s roster in 2018 as a 17-year-old and became the first woman to play baseball at the NJCAA level in 2021. After shifting her focus to softball, Lansdell played two seasons at Florida International University before recently announcing her transfer to Ole Miss ahead of the 2025 season.

Lansdell recently played for the Savannah Bananas and signed a three-week contract with the traveling baseball circuit this summer. She also leads all female Home Run Derby X players with 82 home runs.

The Marietta, Georgia, native replaces former Mississippi State softball standout Davidson-Smith, who is unable to compete due to injury.



Tickets for the one-of-a-kind event on Saturday, August 31st are on sale now. Tickets start at $10.00, with Home Run Zone tickets starting at $40.00. Fans can purchase tickets and find more information about MLB Home Run Derby X in Nashville here.

The Nashville Sounds are the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers and play at First Horizon Park. Single-game tickets for the remainder of the 2024 season are now on sale.
