Simone Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens posed with restaurant menus that read: “Damn Olympic champion.”

After watching Owen’s team, the Chicago Bears, defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in the Windy City on August 17, the 27-year-old Olympian received a warm welcome upon her arrival at Chicago restaurant Maple & Ash.

In a Boomerang clip shared on her Instagram stories, the couple posed together holding a special menu that bore the words “Olympic F***ing Champion!”

She also shared a close-up photo of the menu with the words zoomed in – a cheeky nod to her gymnastic achievements that won her a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Biles has just returned home after a record-breaking Olympic victory, winning three gold medals and one silver in gymnastics.

Earlier in the day, she appeared on the sidelines at Soldier Field in Chicago to cheer on her husband, Owens, whom she has been married to for over a year.

She wore a custom jacket featuring several black-and-white photos of Owens from his time playing for the Green Bay Packers, wraparound reflective silver sunglasses, a black Prada bucket hat and a Balenciaga mesh handbag.

However, to the annoyance of Bears fans, the fleece jacket she wore also featured the logo of his former team on the shoulders, leading many to accuse the gymnast of wearing the wrong equipment.

“She obviously supports her husband Jonathan Owens and she’s one of the greatest Olympians so she gets a free pass… but it’s still one of the oldest rivalries in all of football and she rocks #GoPackGo logos lol,” posted Chase Daniel of The Athletic on X, formerly Twitter.

“Simone Biles should be stripped of all her medals after wearing Packers gear while cheering on the Bears,” wrote one deeply offended Bears fan. “Yeah, yeah, I get it, her husband played for the Packers and it’s an Owens-themed jacket, but that’s just wrong.”

Biles eventually showed up at the Chicago Bears’ tryouts against the Cincinnati Bengals to support Owens, who joined the team in March as a safety in a two-year deal worth an estimated $4.5 million. The franchise reportedly gave him five days off from preseason training so he could watch his wife wow the world with her stunning gymnastics skills at the Paris Olympics.

Before the game began, fans saw the seven-time Olympic gold medalist walking up and down the sideline wearing a walking shoe as she recovers from a calf injury in her left leg. She had previously told NBC Sports the shoe was a “precautionary measure.”
