star Wars I just dropped an Easter Egg related to Cal Kestis and Jedi: Fallen Order in the last place I would have expected. Cal Kestis, a Jedi survivor of Order 66, finds his journey in the popular and canonical Fallen order And Survivors Video games from EA. However, I would not have expected that there would be any references to the popular Imperial era in the High Republic era, and certainly not in a children’s animated series.

After the second season was just released on Disney+, Adventures of young Jedi is back with brand new adventures featuring the trio of High Republic younglings Kai, Lys and Nubs. These include Adventures of young Jedi Season 2, Episode 4, in which young Nubs discovers the ancient lightsaber of Barabo, a legendary Jedi Master who received his own mural depicting one of his greatest battles. This fight has a surprising connection to the present, apart from Cal Kestis and his own adventures, which will only take place in 200 years in the sprawling star Wars Timeline.

What’s the best way to watch Star Wars? Here’s everything you need to know about watching the series in release order or timeline, and how to include the TV shows.

Jedi Master Barabo fights a very familiar creature

A Chirodactyl (first seen in Jedi: Fallen Order)

In the mural that Nubs discovers in an ancient Jedi temple, Barabo is depicted battling none other than a Chirodactyl that had been terrorizing a nearby town before the Jedi Master arrived and drove them away with his lightsaber. Chirodactyl, also known as “Dathomir bats,” are native to the planet Dathomir, the homeworld of Darth Maul and the Nightsisters. Chirodactyls also made their star Wars Debut in Jedi: Fallen Orderespecially a very large female named Gorgara.

In Fallen orderCal visits Kesit’s Dathomir and faces Gorgara himself, leading to one of the game’s most memorable boss fight sequences, in which the young Jedi tries to fight for her life as she ascends to the skies above the world rich in the power of the dark side. To this end it was certainly surprising to see a Chirodactyl in this new episode of Adventures of young Jediwhich is currently the only other occurrence of the species outside Fallen order and Cal’s encounter with Gorgara.

This was really the last place I would have expected to find a Fallen Order Easter Egg

A reference book for die-hard Star Wars fans and parents

Gorgara in Jedi Fallen Order Star Wars

Considering the fact Adventures of young Jedi is aimed at a much younger target group than most star Wars projects, there are probably very few preschool and elementary school children who could understand this. Cal Kestis/Fallen order Easter egg. Instead, it seems quite clear that this reference is for the most die-hard star Wars Fans and parents watching together with their children. As such, it is a very cool Easter Egg that the star Wars viewing experience (and yet in the last place I would have expected it).
