Chicago police search for two men who robbed gas station at gunpoint

CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago police are warning West Englewood residents about two gas station robberies involving two men with a gun.

According to police, the incidents occurred on August 4 and 14 in the 6100 block of South Ashland Avenue.

The victims said that in each of these cases, two men with guns in their waistbands entered the Clark gas station and demanded a pack of Backwoods cigars and drinks.

The men are described as being between 18 and 21 years old, wearing black hoodies and carrying a black rifle, police said.

After the robbery, the men drove away in a gray 2021 Nissan SUV.

The times and locations of the incident are listed below:

  • 6100 block of South Ashland Ave on August 14, 2024, at 12:30 a.m.
  • 6100 block of South Ashland Ave on August 4, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
