They say bigger is better. Does that hold true for this gigantic steak from New Jersey?

Shortly before Christmas, my girlfriend and I went to New York City for dinner and to see the Christmas tree.

We decided that this dinner should be our gift to each other, so we treated ourselves and went to Morton’s.

I got the 12-ounce filet. I had forgotten how big a 12-ounce piece of meat was. That thing was gigantic.

Well, that’s what I thought. Stay tuned.

My girlfriend chose the smaller Wagyu fillet.

Both steaks were perfectly prepared and very tasty.

The side dishes were also quite tasty.

Jersey offers so many options for excellent steak.

You don’t have to raid your bank account or take out a second mortgage on your home.

The Butcher’s Block in Long Branch is always my first choice.

Where can you find the biggest steak in New Jersey?

Remember, earlier in this article I mentioned that I considered my 12-ounce fillet to be large.

That’s nothing. Only In Our State found massive meat.

Have you ever heard of a 60-ounce steak?

This is the kind of piece of meat that is put on your table and makes everyone say, “Oh my God!”

This is a 60 ounce wet aged tomahawk rib chop.

It is worth noting that this steak is not intended for one or even two people.

It is intended for the table.
