IGA Lounge, Istanbul Airport (IST), Türkiye

At 4,500 square meters, this is a huge lounge by global standards. And because there’s so much space, you can expect to find pretty much every lounge amenity you could wish for. Let’s start with the food and drink: the buffet offers top-notch Turkish and Mediterranean dishes, while you can order cocktails from the beautiful bar. In addition, there are showers, an outdoor terrace, a prayer room, a children’s playroom, meeting rooms and a cinema. Plus, this lounge is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Although this lounge is on the small side at just 515 square metres, it makes up for its lack of size in quality. Most importantly, it is immaculately clean, adding to the overall feeling of calm. Another feature worth mentioning is a food station where food is cooked to order and dishes vary throughout the day. There is also a hot and cold buffet (with dim sum!), a self-service bar with an impressively wide selection of wines, and shower suites for freshening up.

Named the global winner of the 2024 Priority Pass Excellence Awards, this lounge is notable for its art collection—the Leopold Museum in Vienna has loaned numerous works, giving the lounge a gallery-like quality. Another highlight? The Vienna Café area, where you’ll find freshly baked pastries and desserts, as well as coffee. But for those looking for a more substantial meal before their flight, there’s also a full hot and cold buffet, as well as a bar (there’s a good selection of Austrian wines). If you’ve got a particularly long layover, there are shower facilities here, as well as plenty of seating across nearly 2500 square feet of space.

Chase Sapphire lounges are finally popping up all over the world, and while entry is usually reserved for Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card holders, Priority Pass members can visit once a year for free, after which admission costs $75 per visit. The Chase Sapphire Lounge in Boston was the first lounge to open in the U.S. and is certainly one of the best lounges in Logan. The 12,000-foot space features dining options curated by James Beard Award-nominated local chef Douglass Williams; a taproom stocked with local beers; a spa with massage chairs; showers; a children’s playroom; and stunning views of the airfield and Boston Harbor.
Star Alliance Lounge, Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG), France
Of course, most of the lounges at CDG belong to Air France (of course!), a member of SkyTeam. But Star Alliance has a lovely outpost in Terminal 1 that’s open to Priority Pass members. The 930-square-meter lounge’s most prominent feature is its outdoor garden, but inside you’ll find a buffet, self-service bar, Illy coffee machines and shower suites.

Located in Orlando’s newest terminal, Terminal C, this airport lounge excels at creating zones for different types of travelers. Of course, since this is Orlando, there’s a family zone with toys, games, and an interactive screen. Adults traveling without kids can enjoy sitting at the large full-service bar, while business travelers can sit in the relaxation zone and get some work done. A grab-and-go refrigerated counter offers light fare and desserts, while a hot buffet serves more substantial meals. There are shower facilities here, too, and they’re pretty nice—they don’t feel like any old gym locker room.

This lounge is open 24 hours a day, which is especially beneficial for the many international connections during the night hours. Even better, it offers a la carte dining in addition to the buffet. Although food is the main focus of this lounge, there are also two massage chairs, which can be a very welcome amenity after a long flight. Unfortunately, there are no showers in the lounge, but you can use Priority Pass to access other lounges that have showers after your meal in this lounge.

Want a free 15-minute neck and shoulder massage? Check out this Bangkok airport lounge, which has a small spa area for quick treatments. But the tranquility of the spa area extends to other areas of the lounge. Although there are no high ceilings, the lounge is quite spacious and there are plenty of smaller, quiet seating areas for a little pre-flight relaxation.
Turkish Airlines Lounge, Miami International Airport (MIA), USA

While most Priority Pass lounges are third-party, some airlines allow Priority Pass members access, including Turkish Airlines. The lounge in Miami (specifically the location between Concourses H and J, not the one in Concourse E) spans 10,000 square feet—enough space for 420 passengers—and offers amenities like a buffet, bar, kids’ room, TV room, business center and showers.

Muscat may not be as busy a Middle East hub as Doha or Dubai, but it still has a fair number of international connections. And so it has a beautiful Priority Pass lounge. The 3,000-square-foot space features some wonderful Arabian architectural elements like pointed arches and geometric wooden screens, as well as high ceilings, massive window walls and herringbone wooden floors. Amenities include private bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (including showers!), a communal relaxation area with loungers, massage chairs, a children’s play area, a games room, a cinema, and a buffet and bar.

In the busy São Paulo airport, head to the shopping mall and take the escalators to find this convenient lounge. It’s far from the quietest lounge – it’s open to the shopping area below – but it offers plenty of seating in an airy, well-decorated space. The buffet always features some Brazilian delicacies, such as Paw of Queijo (a cheese bread ball) and Brigadier General (fudge-like balls covered in chocolate sprinkles), while you can take bottled or canned drinks from the refrigerators or order them at the bar. There are showers here, but Priority Pass members must pay a small fee to use them.

Even if you’re not flying across the pond with Virgin Atlantic, you can still enjoy the airline’s famously fun atmosphere at its lounge at JFK—but only during limited hours. The lounge accepts Priority Pass members from morning to early afternoon (check hours before visiting), before limiting service to its own passengers in the late afternoon and evening. The space is decorated with mid-century modern furniture that gives off more of a club vibe than a spa. Food is served primarily a la carte—you can order food (and drinks) via a QR code at each table. And if you just want to pop over to the bar to order your drink, that’s an option, too. Showers are available, too.

Green spaces are always welcome in an airport, and this Venice lounge features an indoor garden that provides tranquility – something much needed after visiting the busy city! There’s also a terrace (no smoking!) where you can soak up some sunlight and fresh air before your flight, as well as showers to freshen up. The buffet offers a selection of light snacks and sweets, while the bar serves a good selection of Italian wines.
Fiji Airways Premier Lounge, Nadi International Airport (NAN), Fiji
Again, we love a lounge with greenery. This 930-square-foot space in Fiji has plenty of it—with soothing constellation lighting that also sets off the summer and winter skies. There are various seating areas with plenty of comfortable lounge seating, as well as a hot and cold buffet and self-serve bar. Don’t miss the traditional Fijian bean cart that brings around sweets! Other amenities include showers, a playroom with a nanny to watch the kids, a business center, and a media room.
AMAE Lounge, Rosario – Islas Malvinas International Airport (ROS), Argentina

Not many travelers come to the Falklands by plane – many come by cruise ship – but those who do fly can visit this lounge with a Priority Pass membership.
