Not again…

After PlayStation’s loyalty program mysteriously went offline earlier this year, the future for members remains uncertain.

In June of this year, PlayStation Stars was offline for almost a month without Sony providing any explanation.

Check out the trailer for PlayStation Stars below!

The loyalty program is free and rewards members with points for completing various tasks, purchasing PlayStation games, or even simply playing those games.

In return, the points collected can be exchanged for free credit, which has allowed many users to purchase brand new titles at no additional cost.

However, in the last few days, Sony appears to have updated the PlayStation Star rewards section. Again, this comes without explanation.

Players noticed the change when they opened the rewards section and saw that only a few were left.

This included Starblade It offers 17,500 points and Dragon Krystals, Mortal Kombat’s virtual currency, and rewards players with 1,250 points for every 500 Krystals.

Before the August update, there were rewards for games like Helldivers 2, Minecraft, Rise of Ronin and more, but these seem to have all been removed.

Therefore, members fear that they will no longer be able to access their free credit, as was the case in June when PS Stars went down.

Members save their accumulated points and credits over several months, so it’s no wonder they’re demanding answers from Sony.

However, at the time of writing, there was no comment from the PlayStation company.

It remains to be seen whether this is a mistake, an error, or part of a larger plan for PS Stars, but there’s no denying that Sony isn’t exactly giving out information.

For now, we must remain vigilant until we get answers.
