Nick Knowles has put his idyllic Cotswolds cottage up for rent for £1,600 a month after moving into his fiancée Katie Dadzie’s Berkshire home ahead of his Strictly appearance.
The 61-year-old DIY SOS presenter moved back into the property around 2017 after giving up 80% of his belongings for a simpler life.
But Nick has decided to put his house on the rental market, taking the next step in his relationship with 33-year-old Katie after their engagement last year.
The semi-detached house has an open kitchen/living area with a wood-burning stove.
Nick’s love of gardening is clear to see: the raised beds filled with flowers line the driveway, while he has his own vegetable garden at the back.

Over the years, Nick has shared insights into his life in the Cotswolds on Instagram.
In 2020, he considered leaving his London home and moving to the countryside.
He wrote: “In the Cotswolds, in the middle of winter.”
“I decided almost three years ago to leave London, where I have lived most of my life. On days like today, I feel blessed to have made that decision. I am aware that I am very lucky to live here.
“So many people say they would love to live abroad in the winter, but I love winter, the fire and hot chocolate with marshmallows… and I still get as happy as a kid when it snows.”
Nick was recently spotted stopping off at a garden centre with Katie. The pair filled the car with plants and the presenter seemed eager to get to work in her garden.
The presenter previously spoke about why he decided to downsize and get rid of most of his belongings.

Speaking on This Morning, he said: “I decided to change my life because I woke up one morning and looked for my watch.”
“I was living alone in a big house and I walked into a room I hadn’t been in for a year and thought, ‘Well, this is ridiculous.'”
“I threw away 80% of my stuff and moved into a tiny little cabin in the country because I have a little boy and wanted to make real memories.”
He then recalled fond memories from his childhood, saying that he remembered the sentimental moments with his family more than the size of the house he grew up in.
“My real memories of my childhood are things like picking peas in the back garden with my uncle and my father and walks in the woods. It really had nothing to do with the size of my house.”
Nick has four children – three sons and a daughter. His youngest son, Freddie, was born in 2014 during his marriage to Jessica Rose Moor.
Nick and Katie got engaged in New Orleans in August 2023 and the couple announced the happy news on Instagram.
Katie, who is 27 years younger than DIY SOS presenter Nick, looked delighted in a series of snaps, including when Nick proposed to her on one knee.
She captioned her post: “Something special happened at the last minute in New Orleans.”
Nick wrote: “There was an incident in New Orleans involving a Haribo ring. Very happy.”

Nick revealed the reason he signed up for the show: “I danced an Argentine tango in Rio last year and loved it. My older sister was a ballroom dancer, so I’m the least talented person in the family.”
“I’m really going to try and throw myself into it 100 percent.”
