Trendy Japanese clothing store opens five stores in Texas

A few months ago we told you about Daiso, a Japanese dollar store retailer that has opened branches across the state at a time when American dollar stores like Dollar Tree and Family Dollar are closing and closing branches.

We have also reported that other large brick-and-mortar stores like Big Lots are closing locations, but FOREIGN brands are taking advantage and cornering the markets to grab the consumer dollars the others are losing. Maybe they know something we don’t.

Uniqlo describes itself as a retailer that offers everyday garments with “the Japanese values ​​of simplicity, quality and durability, with universal design, excellent fit and comfort to enhance the daily lives of its customers.”

As part of its expansion into North America, the company plans to open 20 new locations in the USA, including five in Houston and Dallas:

  • Galleria Dallas
  • The Parks Mall in Arlington
  • Stonebriar Centre in Frisco
  • Memorial City Shopping Center
  • First Colony Mall in Sugar Land

The Uniqlo location at Galleria Dallas will open on October 18th and the Arlington and Frisco locations on October 25th, while the Houston-area locations are also scheduled to open in mid-October.
