BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A group of men are accused of stealing nearly $3,000 worth of clothing from an Oakland County sporting goods store, police said.

The theft occurred at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dick’s Sporting Goods store on Telegraph Road near Square Lake Road in Bloomfield Township, according to police.

According to police, two men entered the store, grabbed several items of clothing and left without paying.

According to police, witnesses told officers the men hit a black Nissan with severe front-end damage that sped off south on Telegraph Road.

Other officers in the area found the Nissan on Telegraph near Maple Road and stopped the car, police said.

According to police, the three men in the car had 55 items of clothing with a total value of $2,755.

According to police, officers confiscated the stolen clothing.

The three men were jailed pending charges with the Oakland County District Attorney’s Office.

The officers did not identify the thieves.
