Due to a fleeing shoplifting suspect, subway traffic at the Rosslyn metro station is interrupted.

The suspect is believed to have stolen from the CVS store in the 1700 block of N. Pierce Street around 10:30 a.m. and was observed fleeing with merchandise in the subway station. After a foot chase on the station’s escalators, the suspect fled into a tunnel toward Foggy Bottom, according to radio traffic.

“Police cleared the eastbound Orange train… appears to be looking for someone who ran into the tunnel,” a source told ARLnow.

According to Metro, passengers on the Orange, Blue and Silver lines “should expect delays in both directions.”
