ADREC launches first residential rental index for Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 20th August, 2024 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) — the administrator and regulator of Abu Dhabi’s real estate sector — today announced the launch of Abu Dhabi’s first residential rental index.

Aimed at both tenants and landlords, the platform aims to increase transparency, provide rental benchmarks and support the stability of the capital’s growing rental market. It provides easily accessible and reliable residential property data to help investors and residents understand the rental market and make informed decisions based on reliable data.

The platform also provides non-binding quarterly rental prices for properties across Abu Dhabi.

“The rental index will revitalize the rental market in Abu Dhabi and further strengthen the emirate’s competitiveness in attracting international investors. We are committed to building a thriving real estate sector and positioning the emirate as a leading investment and real estate destination regionally and globally,” said Rashed Al Omaira, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre.

He added that this initiative will increase the attractiveness of the real estate sector and create a more sustainable and resilient market.

The platform is in line with ADREC’s ongoing strategy to improve customer satisfaction in Abu Dhabi’s real estate sector and provide added value to investors, property owners and tenants alike.

Future metrics, including the Commercial Index and the Service Charge Index, aim to improve the resilience and reliability of Abu Dhabi’s real estate sector.
