Jennifer Lopez finally files for divorce from Ben Affleck without a prenuptial agreement

Jennifer Lopez just filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. Now it’s finally happened. Unfortunately, we all saw it coming. The apparent split. Ben is moving to another house. Rumors are circulating on the internet about all the usual unfortunate things. Now it seems to be official.

Our friends at TMZ uncovered the story.

J Lo filed her legal documents in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, but not through an attorney. Jennifer filed the documents pro per, meaning alone and without an attorney.

Lopez has set April 26, 2024, as the date of her separation from Ben Affleck. The couple, who tied the knot in a ceremony in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022, also held a more traditional wedding ceremony in Georgia on August 20, 2022.

Ugh, only two years and it’s already over.

Check this out: Lopez decided to file for divorce on the second anniversary of that major celebration, suggesting the timing might not be a coincidence. Damn.

In the divorce documents, Lopez did not specify whether the couple had a prenuptial agreement.

Sources with knowledge of the matter told TMZ that there is no prenuptial agreement, meaning any income or profits the couple makes will likely play a role in the divorce proceedings.

If anyone’s counting, this is Lopez’s fourth marriage and Affleck’s second, so the lack of a prenuptial agreement is frankly shocking.

According to the documents filed, Lopez has waived spousal support and requested that the judge deny Affleck any spousal support as well. Look, they both seem to be very wealthy, so that’s not an issue.

Since the now separated couple had no children together, there are fortunately no custody disputes to resolve.

Good luck to you both.
