Manchester United could raise funds to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte in the final stages of the summer transfer window.

Corriere dello Sport recently reported that Scott McTominay has agreed personal terms with NapoliHowever, the Italian club will have difficulty paying the €30 million fee demanded by Manchester United unless they manage to sell Victor Osimhen first.

On Tuesday, more information about McTominay’s file emerged when The Athletic Laurie Whitwell reports that Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna has travelled to England for personal talks about McTominay and that progress is being made on the deal.

In addition, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also provided new information on the situation surrounding Napoli and the Manchester United midfielder.

According to Romano, Napoli are examining the terms of a potential deal for Sofyan Amrabat, who is just one of their midfield options. They are also considering McTominay, while Manchester United are still waiting for a €30 million package.

A decision is expected in the next few days on what the Serie A side will do with their quest to strengthen their midfield. Even if the Red Devils do not sell McTominay, The Telegraph reported this week PSG hopes that the offer to defer payments will persuade the Premier League club to agree to a Ugarte transfer.
