Video shows apparent shooting by Hialeah police – NBC 6 South Florida

A stabber who may have killed one person and injured two others was shot dead by police at a home in Hialeah on Wednesday morning.

Police said they received a call around 4:25 a.m. about a domestic dispute at a home on the corner of W 42nd Place and W 5th Court.

“When officers arrived, they encountered a victim who had apparently been stabbed in front of the house,” police said.

According to authorities, there were two other victims and an armed suspect in the house.

Officers were rendering aid when a “confrontation” occurred between them and the suspect and they opened fire. Video shows officers firing several shots from the front door.

The suspect and one of the victims died at the scene, police said.

Two other victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

“It was a real tragedy. He had been suffering from nervous problems for a long time,” a neighbor said in Spanish about one of the people apparently involved. “Before, there were many problems, but for a while he was calm.”

The FDLE will investigate the police shooting according to protocol.

The investigation is ongoing.
