Charles “Terry” Birchfield, age 50, of Morristown, passed away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. He was a member of the House of the Lord Jesus Christ. Terry worked at Wal-Mart as a meat/produce department associate and was the heartbeat of the area to his co-workers. He was an avid Tennessee fan and the joker of the family. He loved his family, his nieces and nephews, and his work family. He was predeceased by his parents, Ivan Bill and Ethel Lee Birchfield, his brother, Frankie Lee Jolly, his grandparents, John and Bessie Shannon, and Charlie and Dora Birchfield. He is survived by his sisters, Brenda Evans, Gail (Johnny) Manning, Judy (Ritchie) Broyles, Leslie (Willie) Vestal, and Linda (Max) Shell; and his brothers, Gary (Janet) Birchfield and Robert (Cathy) Birchfield; special friends, Jason Johnson and Avery Spurgeon; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the House of the Lord Jesus Christ with Rev. Amanda Coffey and Rev. Brad Setsor officiating. The body will be placed in state at the church thirty minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow in Shannon Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
