DARIEN, IL – A Darien man who was described as an “absolute menace” in his neighborhood visited the police station last week, authorities said.

Apparently it didn’t go well.

Shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday, the 56-year-old man, whose residence was listed as being in the 900 block of 69th Street, cursed and screamed during a disturbance at the station, police said. The man then walked away.

Over four days in late July, the man was charged twice with disturbing the peace after playing loud music late into the night, police said.

Neighbors said the man frequently harassed them. One called the man an “absolute menace.”

Patch has filed a public records request with the police department regarding the incident.
