Generator Rental Services Limited (GRS), an Auckland-based specialist power rental solutions company, will become part of the Atlas Copco Group later this year (2024).
Announced today (21st As of August 1, GRS will become part of the specialty rental division in Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business area.
GRS employs 58 people and generated sales of 23 million euros in the last financial year.
The company offers special devices for power and temperature control. Its main customers come from the energy supply, general industry and civil engineering sectors.
Andrew Walker, President of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business area, said: “The specialty power rental market is a highly technical and regulated market, driven by demand for increasingly sophisticated technologies to support society’s growing need for electrification.”
“With the acquisition of GRS, we are expanding our expertise in this market and at the same time creating a growth platform and a center of excellence for the entire Oceania region.”
The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2024.
