Pierre Kalulu said goodbye to AC Milan fans with a social media post after his move to Juventus was made official last night.

Juve’s official website states that the commitment of the Frenchman completed and the figures of the deal have also been confirmed. The loan fee is 3.3 million euros, payable in two financial years, then there is a purchase option of 14 million euros plus 3 million euros in possible bonuses.

Kalulu was left out of the Milan club’s squad for the games in Monza and Turin as negotiations with Juventus advanced, although it looked as if the move would not happen as he took time to make a final decision.

The former Lyon player leaves the club after being a key part of the Scudetto-winning team, but having also been plagued by injuries over the past few seasons, which have severely hampered his desire to regain a place in the starting line-up.

In a post on his Instagram account, Kalulu sent a message to his fans making it clear that he does not expect to return next summer.

“Dear fans, dear AC Milan fans, it is with great emotion that I announce my departure. I thank you, fans and supporters, for welcoming me so warmly and for making me feel like a member of the family from the first moment,” he said.

“Thank you to the club for having signed me, for believing in me and trusting me. I hope I have repaid you during my three seasons as a Rossonero. Thanks to all my teammates for sharing their valuable experience and advice with me and allowing me to improve on and off the pitch.

“I was a boy when I arrived in Milan and today I leave as a man. We never know what the future holds, but I am happy to have contributed to the great history of Milan. You will always have a special place in my heart.”
