Parking in Holbrook-Palmer Park will be impacted for two days as part of the road sealing project

The Town of Atherton announced that paving work will be performed at Holbrook-Palmer Park on Wednesday, August 14 and Friday, August 16, which will impact traffic and parking in the park. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on those two days.

On Aug. 14, the main house parking lot will be closed off all day, and there will be a one-way policy through the park, the city’s announcement said. On Aug. 16, additional parking areas from the main parking lot to the parking lot near the tennis courts will be closed off, and no traffic or parking will be allowed all day.

A city press release advises residents to “plan their visits accordingly and allow more time to travel through the affected areas.”

This closure is part of a larger road sealing project across the town. Several roads across Atherton will be closed during August for the work.

As part of this project, Atherton will also install shared bicycle lane markings (“sharrows”) on several streets, including Alejandra Avenue, Atherton Avenue, Austin Avenue, Barry Lane, Dinkelspiel Station Lane, Elena Avenue, Emilie Avenue, Fair Oaks Lane, Park Lane, Selby Lane and Watkins Avenue.
