More flights in 2025 for Grand Forks International Airport

(KNOX) – Grand Forks International Airport expects more passengers in 2025.
The airport was notified that Allegiant Airlines will add eight flights from Grand Forks to Mesa, Arizona and seven flights from Grand Forks to Orlando from February to May 2025. For some of these flights, Allegiant may use the new Boeing 737-800.
Delta Airlines will offer an additional flight starting in July 2025. Ryan Riesinger, CEO of the airport authority, says Delta will go ahead with this plan based on previous experience.

The Grand Forks Airport Authority approved its 2025 budget and list of capital improvement projects on Thursday morning.
Operating revenue is $700,000 lower because the City of Grand Forks and Grand Forks County reduced the number of airport mills from 4 to 2.
Airport Commissioner Karl Bollingberg says it will be difficult to get those factories back. He says if it is interpreted as the city and county not supporting the airport, federal funding could be cut.
Grand Forks Mayor Brandon Bochenski responded that reducing mill costs was justified to provide value to property taxpayers. He said the immediate solution is to sell more seats on flights to and from GFC.
Airport manager Ryan Riesinger plans to ask lawmakers for $120 million to fund construction of the airport’s main runway and improvements to airports in Dickinson and Fargo. He says a lot is riding on the property tax measure in November’s election.
“It’s not time to kick the football yet,” Riesinger said.
