New flights, including two international nonstop destinations to BNA

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Have you ever wanted to take off from Nashville International Airport to Indianapolis, Cabo San Lucas and Punta Cana?

Well, now you can. BNA announced that Southwest Airlines has expanded its flight service with three new nonstop routes.

The airport said this was a step forward in its efforts to offer travelers more international and nonstop options.

“Adding three new nonstop routes to BNA is a great achievement for us as we continue to strive to bring additional destinations to BNA for our travelers,” said Doug Kreulen, President and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. “We are thrilled to announce these new flights from Southwest, providing our passengers with over 60 nonstop destinations. Continuing to establish additional international routes remains a long-standing goal and we look forward to adding these new, vibrant cities to our roster.”

What you need to know:

Indianapolis International Airport (IND)

  • Starting Thursday, March 6, Southwest Airlines will offer daily nonstop flights to Indianapolis International Airport (IND), providing a direct connection to the heart of the Midwest.

Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) and Punta Cana Airport (PUJ)

  • Starting Saturday, March 8, Southwest will offer weekly (Saturdays only) nonstop flights to two of the most popular international vacation destinations – Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) and Punta Cana Airport (PUJ).

“Whether you’re planning a sunny beach holiday or exploring a new city, these new routes have something for everyone,” BNA said.
