Vice presidential candidate JD Vance made a terribly embarrassing appearance at a donut shop in Georgia on Thursday.

Vance, 40, entered Holt’s Sweet Shop in Valdosta to order some candy for his campaign team ahead of a scheduled speech in the swing state.

But the seemingly unplanned visit quickly became unpleasant as the woman behind the counter asked not to be seen on camera.

The senator from Ohio then demonstratively asked the press to cut her out of their videos before introducing himself to the staff member.

“I’m JD Vance, and I’m running for Vice President,” he said with a grin on his face.

Vance then asked the woman and another employee who appeared on the screen some questions about the company, such as how long they had worked there.

Both employees gave him only brief answers while the woman tried to put together his order from a “random mix” of two dozen donuts.

“Lots of frosting here, some sprinkles, some cinnamon rolls,” Vance says.

After receiving several boxes of pastries, Vance and his entourage met with officials outside the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, where he was briefed on the drug and gun problems in the community, WCTV reported.

From there, Vance traveled to his rally, where he sharply attacked Democrats over issues of illegal immigration and border security.

He accused Vice President Kamala Harris of fueling the drug problem in the country and taking a laissez-faire approach to border control.

“Once Kamala Harris is out of office, we will no longer be open for business for illegal immigrants and the Mexican drug cartels,” Vance told the crowd.

“This is our solemn promise to the American people, and we take it very seriously.”

Vance delivered his speech while his running mate, former President Donald Trump, was campaigning at the border in Arizona.

The pair are traveling across the country and making immigration issues a top priority of their campaign, blaming Harris for the rise in illegal immigration, calling them a “failed border czar” who is lax on crime.

Republicans are apparently hoping that their message will resonate with voters in the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina, where Harris and her vice presidential candidate Tim Walz have caught up with Trump, according to recent polls.

But her campaign efforts come amid a heated Democratic convention, where Walz sharply attacked his Republican opponents on Wednesday night.

He spoke about his childhood in a small town in Nebraska and joked that none of the 24 graduates of his class had been to Yale – a clear dig at his opponent, Donald Trump’s vice presidential candidate JD Vance.

“I’ll tell you one thing: When you grow up in a small town like this, you learn to look out for each other,” Walz said in his passionate speech.

“The family down the street may not think like you, they may not pray like you, they may not love like you, but they are neighbors.”

He continued, “Some people just don’t understand what it means to be a good neighbor,” adding that Donald Trump, the student-elected speaker, could teach “a hell of a lot” as a teacher.

“Leaders don’t stand around all day insulting people and blaming others. Leaders get the job done,” Walz said. “So, I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to break up with these guys, so go ahead and say it with me: We’re not going back.”

He called their agenda “absolutely strange” but also warned that it was “dangerous.”

Vice President Kamala Harris is now expected to accept the Democratic presidential nomination on Thursday evening.
