A downtown Guthrie restaurant announced via social media that it is closing its doors.

Sinaloa Signature Restaurante, a venue that opened in February 2023, announced on August 7 that it has officially closed its doors. The announcement was made on social media, where the owners expressed their heartfelt thanks to the community and described the challenges they faced while trying to establish their unique concept.

In their statement, the owners of Sinaloa Signature Restaurante expressed their deep disappointment in not being able to achieve their goal of providing Guthrie with an authentic and original Mexican dining experience. Despite their efforts to offer the community something different, they ultimately decided to close the restaurant.

“We are very sorry if we could not win Guthrie’s heart,” the statement said. “Believe me, we did our best to satisfy you, but we did not achieve our goals… At least we tried, although we tried for almost two years and with many difficulties. I am proud of my whole family who tried by my side… To all our employees who did their best to make you feel at home, thank you!”

The owners thanked the Guthrie community for its support and expressed pride in the efforts they have made to bring an authentic and original dining experience to the area. “It has been a pleasure offering our services. God bless you all!” the statement concluded.
