A new AARP workshop offers tips on resources and services to help Maui residents stay rooted on Maui for the long term.

“We know that most people on Maui want to stay in their own homes and communities as they age,” said Keali’i Lopez, state director of AARP Hawaii. “We want to make it easy for people to learn about resources in Maui County and hear from experts about home remodeling, legal issues like advance care planning and estate planning, fall prevention, medication management, and even decluttering and downsizing.”

The free Aging in Place Workshops, hosted by AARP Hawaii, will be held on Saturday, August 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kaunoa Senior Center, 401 Alakapa Place, in Pāʻia.
