Joyland – the highly anticipated Nashville fast-casual concept moving into the former Rodney Scott BBQ and Bottletree space in Avondale – opens August 15.

Joylands Murals and Food
Created in 2020 by James Beard Award-winning chef Sean Brock, Joyland is inspired by the aesthetics and experience of early fast-food restaurants.
Chef Brock has teamed up with Birmingham restauranteur Nick Pihakis, owner of the local Pihakis Restaurant Group, to bring Joyland to the Magic City.
If you’ve passed by the 3719 Third Ave. South location recently, you may have noticed the signage and a bright, sunny mural by local artist Marcus Fetch.
Now all that’s left is to come over for dinner.
What dishes are on the menu? Here is a delicious sample:
- The Crustburger with onions, American cheese and a side of fancy sauce
- Fried chicken sandwich with Joy sauce, cucumber salad and mayonnaise
- Joyburger Deluxe, with Bear Creek’s own brand beef, Joy sauce, pickles, onions and American cheese
