Rapper, producer and fashion designer Kanye West arrived in Korea on Friday morning to perform a concert at Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi later that day.

West arrived at Incheon International Airport early in the morning with his wife Bianca Censori and children North, Saint and Chicago. According to local media reports, the rapper waved to fans and signed autographs.

The upcoming Vultures Listening Experience concert is part of a series of listening events West is hosting to promote his new album, Vultures 2, which is out August 3 and is a collaboration with singer Ty Dolla $ign. The concert is being co-hosted by Nextis, the parent company of Channel Candy, and festival brand Le Grand.

West last performed in Korea 14 years ago at the 2010 Summer Week&T music festival at Naksan Beach in Yangyang, Gangwon.

West has won 24 Grammy Awards and released nine solo albums, many of which topped the Billboard 200 album charts. His most recent release, “Vultures,” topped the Billboard 200 chart in February.

West has also worked as a fashion designer and creative director for well-known brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gap, Nike and Adidas. The rapper founded his own clothing company, Yeezy, in 2015.

West has been involved in numerous controversies over the years and is known for canceling album releases and performances. The rapper has also been controversial in the political realm, having said things like “slavery sounds like a choice” in 2018 and “I like Hitler” in 2022. The rapper ran in the 2020 U.S. presidential election as the candidate of his own political party, the Birthday Party.

According to news outlet Taiwan News, the rapper canceled his performances planned for Sunday in Taiwan after his performance in Seoul.
