6 indicted for fentanyl, weapons found in Fredonia home | News, Sports, Jobs


On Thursday, confiscated items were found at 166 Newton Street in Fredonia.

Six Northern District residents face charges following an investigation into drug trafficking at 166 Newton Street in Fredonia.

A search warrant was executed by drug agents from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Dunkirk Police Department, Jamestown Police Department and Fredonia Police; the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team entered the residence at approximately 5:25 a.m. Thursday.

At the time of the search warrant, residents Dakota Cordell, 27, Brett Plucinski, 34, Joseph Culmo, 63, Nicholas Culmo, 31, and Richard Culmo, 36, of Fredonia, and Faith Grisanti, 26, of Dunkirk, were present at the residence. During the search, investigators seized 81.8 grams of fentanyl, six handguns, a rifle, 50 Suboxone strips, a quantity of oxycodone, scales and packaging materials used for the sale and distribution of narcotics, and $6,170. Cordell, Grisanti, Plucinski, Joseph Culmo, and Nicholas Culmo were all charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Cordell was additionally charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and had three warrants for his arrest.

Joseph Culmo also had a warrant out of the Village of Fredonia Court for his arrest. Richard Culmo was charged with first degree criminal harassment and released. All other suspects were taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for central arraignment.
