Exchange Club presents Field of Honor at Ariel Foundation Park

Exchange Club presents Field of Honor at Ariel Foundation Park

MOUNT VERNON – The Exchange Club of Mount Vernon & Knox County will present the Field of Honor at Ariel Foundation Park on Labor Day weekend. The event runs Friday, August 30th through Monday, September 2nd.

This impressive event will feature 500 US flags as a silent tribute to the heroes among us.

For four days and three nights, Ariel Foundation Park is transformed into a sea of red, white and blue as these flags fly ceremoniously, creating a breathtaking panorama that reflects the spirit of patriotism and community. Each flag represents a person and tells a story of courage, sacrifice and service.

The Field of Honor provides a unique opportunity for the community to come together to remember and honor the many heroes who have shaped our lives. Whether they are first responders, community or religious leaders, military veterans, active duty personnel, medical personnel, or beloved family members, this tribute allows us to recognize and celebrate their contributions.

Community members can participate by purchasing and dedicating a flag in honor or memory of their local hero. Exchange Club members will add the honoree’s name to each flagpole. Adorned with a ribbon, these flags will fly proudly throughout the event. It’s a meaningful way to show gratitude and ensure their legacy is honored.

Special activities are planned throughout the weekend, making this event a time of reflection and celebration of the values that unite us. We encourage everyone to visit Ariel Foundation Park on Labor Day weekend to experience this powerful display of community spirit and patriotism.
