Who will be the best high school orienteer/athlete in the country in 2024?

Earlier this week, ahead of the 2024 high school football season, we featured the 20 best linemen in the nation.

Now we turn to SBLive/SI readers to decide which of those 20 will be the best high school OL/DL in America this season.

Seuseu Alofaituli, Sr., Bishop Gorman (Nevada)

Alofaituli is a compact offensive lineman who has a high football IQ for his age. The Miami newcomer is part of a strong Bishop Gorman front that also includes four-star recruits Alai Kalaniuvalu and Douglas Utu.

Kevin Brown, Jr., Harrisburg (Pennsylvania)

Brown is one of the best prospects in the country for the class of 2026 and an athletic prodigy for Harrisburg in every way. Last season, he recorded 11.5 sacks and was a star on the offensive line with more than 100 pancake blocks. Brown committed to Penn State in late July.

Isaiah Campbell, Sr., Southern Durham (North Carolina)

Campbell, who committed to Clemson, can play anywhere on Southern Durham’s defensive line. As a junior, he amassed 110 total tackles (27 for loss), 16 sacks and two forced fumbles.

Jackson Cantwell, Jr., Nixa (Missouri)

Cantwell is the top offensive lineman in the Class of 2026 in the 247Sports composite rankings. As a sophomore, he posted 91 pancake blocks and did not allow a single sack. He is also a standout track and field athlete, being named the Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year last season after winning state titles in the shot put and discus. Cantwell holds personal records of 74 feet, 9.75 inches and 205-4 in the throwing events, respectively.

Jourdin Crawford, Sr., AH Parker (Alabama)

Parker is a classic 6’2″ and 295-pound defensive tackle who can also attack the passer. The Auburn product totaled 67 tackles and 17 sacks last fall and scored three touchdowns on offense as a bowling ball fullback.

Tony Cumberland Jr., Willamette (Oregon)

A starter since his freshman year at Desert Mountain High School in Arizona, Cumberland had 25 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks in his first two seasons of high school football. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound player, who transferred to Willamette in the offseason, committed to Oregon last year and is part of the Ducks’ No. 1-ranked 2026 recruiting class.

Aaron Dunn, Sr., Spanish fork (Utah)

Dunn is a standout offensive tackle who also plays on the defensive line for Spanish Fork. The 6-foot-8, 295-pound player is an unstoppable basketball force who averaged 17.2 points per game last season. He transferred to Utah in August.

Iose Epenesa, sr., Edwardsville (Illinois)

Epenesa, a 6-foot-3, 270-pound five-star from Iowa who can play both defensive end and tackle, had 46 total tackles (10 for loss), seven sacks and three forced fumbles as a junior. His 15 career sacks are the Edwardsville program’s record, tied by his older brother AJ, who plays for the Buffalo Bills.

Avery Gach, Sr., Groves (Michigan)

Gach earned a starting spot at right tackle as a freshman under Groves and has been a mainstay on the team ever since. The wild Michigan product recorded 90 pancake blocks without allowing a sack last fall.

Elijah Griffin, Sr., Savannah Christian (Georgia)

Griffin totaled 97 tackles (31 for loss) and 17.5 sacks as a junior and was named Georgia Class 3A Lineman of the Year. His dominant play on the interior helped Savannah Christian reach the state finals. Griffin is a five-star prospect and has numerous offers, including Georgia, Miami and USC.

Ty Haywood, Sr., Ryan (Texas)

Haywood, a five-star prospect from Alabama, is a typical offensive tackle at 6’6″ and 295 pounds. He is an athletic lineman who also competes in track and field for Ryan.

Immanuel Iheanacho, Jr., Georgetown Preparation (Maryland)

Iheanacho, another five-star prospect, is a massive 6-foot-4, 335-pound offensive tackle. As a sophomore, he was a dominant force inside for a Georgetown Prep team that finished 8-2 overall.

Josh Petty, Sr., Christian Community (Georgia)

A star from a small school in Georgia, Petty competes in both disciplines for Fellowship Christian. The five-star recruit is also a standout wrestler, winning the Class 2A 285-pound state title as a sophomore and finishing second last year. He has committed to Georgia Tech.

Maxwell Riley, Jr., Lake Avon (Ohio)

Riley is an impressive two-way lineman whose initial offers include Alabama, Michigan and Ohio State. In addition to his football talents, Riley is also a standout track and field thrower, holding a personal shot put record of 56-4.

David Sanders Jr., Sr., Providence Day School (North Carolina)

How dominant is Sanders Jr. really? As a junior, he was named North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year after excelling on both sides of the ball. The five-star prospect was a key figure in the trenches as Providence Day won the Division I state title.

Logan Schram, Sr., Boerne (Texas)

Schram did not allow a single sack in his first three seasons at the college level. The 6’6″, 315-pound offensive tackle is committed to TCU.

Jahkeem Stewart, Jr., St. Augustine (Louisiana)

The 6’6″, 280-pound Stewart can play anywhere on the defensive line at St. Augustine. As a sophomore, he totaled 85 tackles (33 for loss) and 20 sacks. The five-star prospect’s numerous early offers include Alabama and LSU.

Champ Taulealea, sr., Valley Christian (California)

At 6’4″ and 320 pounds, Taulealea is an overwhelming force in the running game. The Washington product could also spend some time on the defensive line in his senior year.

Solomon Thomas, Sr., Rain (Florida)

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Thomas could play offensive guard or tackle at the next level. A five-star Florida State selection, Thomas won the Class 2A state title in the discus as a sophomore (168-5) and placed second last spring.

Jalen Wiggins, Sr., Rickards (Florida)

Wiggins specializes in attacking the passer. The Florida player totaled 97 tackles (31 for loss), 37 quarterback hurries, 16 sacks and two forced fumbles last season.
