Each year, Nation’s Restaurant News presents the top 500 largest restaurants in America, ranked by systemwide sales in the previous fiscal year. This year, we’re using data from our samples at Technomic to bring you our best report yet.
In this part of the report, you’ll learn about other chains that rank in the middle of the list: those ranked 350th through 301st. For each, you’ll also learn their system-wide sales and unit volumes for 2023.
Of these 50 chains, 35 reported system-wide sales increases in 2023, half of them in the double-digit percentage range. 23 opened new Netto stores (10 remained unchanged in their number of stores).
Highlights in this section of the list include Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream, Hawaiian Bros Island Grill, and Barrio Tacos.
These 50 chains generated sales of over $5 billion last year with their more than 4,000 stores.
