Tracking: 3 suspects arrested for murder of Dallas tobacco shop employee

U.S. Marshals have arrested three men in connection with a murder in Dallas that was reported on FOX 4’s “Trackdown.”

Derrick Griffin, Eddie Coleman and Vincent Casteel are all being held in the Dallas County Jail.

Police say armed robbers shot and killed Estevan Narvaez Jr. and wounded another man last month at a tobacco shop and gaming parlor near Ledbetter Drive in East Oak Cliff.

“Our victims, Estevan Narvaez and Mark Araguz, were at that location, and two young African-American men came there and attempted to rob my two victims. A brief scuffle ensued. Guns were drawn and shots were fired,” Dallas Police homicide detective Laurent Swanson told FOX 4’s Shaun Rabb in July. “Our suspects took property and literally casually walked away from the scene.”

Narvaez was a father, husband and son. It was his first day of work at the tobacco shop, but he never came home again.

According to court documents, police received numerous calls and text messages about the suspects after the case appeared on FOX 4’s “Trackdown.”

Using witness statements and videos from the store, they were able to link 20-year-old Griffin, 42-year-old Coleman and 58-year-old Casteel to the case.
