PREVIOUS: A suburban Green Bay man and an employee at El Ranchito restaurant face charges following an armed robbery last month.

26-year-old Reinaldo Fuentes-Nietzsche is accused of three counts:

  • Armed robbery with threat of violence
  • Endangering safety through the use of dangerous weapons – pointing a firearm at another person
  • Participation in the crime of THC possession – 2nd and subsequent offense

Abigail Guerrero, who lives with Fuentes-Nietzsche in Bellevue, is accused of:

  • Participants in the crime of armed robbery
  • Resisting or obstructing an official

In the case of armed robbery, the perpetrator faces up to 40 years in prison.

In addition, Fuentes-Nietzsche is charged as a repeat offender on all three counts, which could add two years to her prison sentence if convicted. Online court records show a history of convictions for minor offenses dating back to 2016, including trespassing and resisting or obstructing an officer in 2021.

El Ranchito employees who called 911 on Feb. 17 said a masked robber entered the South Webster Avenue restaurant with a gun and demanded money. According to the criminal complaint, he went behind the counter and threatened clerk Guerrero, saying, “Give me everything right now or I’ll shoot you both right now!” He put the money in a distinctive sky blue backpack.

The store owner said he had just filled the cash drawer with $20,000 to cash checks for customers. Since no one had cashed a check before the robbery, he estimated the robber got away with the entire $20,000.

After taking some cash, he left the area on foot. Police found surveillance video that showed the suspect had been walking in the area for some time before the robbery. The second time he walked through a nearby alley, he was wearing different clothing but the same blue backpack.

The timing of the robbery, shortly after the cash register was filled, struck police as suspicious. And the complaint states that investigators who reviewed surveillance video found that Guerrero did not show the reaction one would expect from someone being robbed at gunpoint for the first time, but appeared to be expecting the robber to break in.

Police examined Guerrero’s Facebook account and found photos of her with Fuentes-Nietzsche, whose body description matched that of the robbery suspect.

On March 4, police executed a search warrant at Fuentes-Nietzsche and Guerrero’s home and seized a handgun and cash believed to be connected to the robbery.
