SHREVEPORT, Louisiana (KTAL/KMSS) – The Cares Krewe is back and has decided to continue the smiles, laughter and dancing one pump at a time.
The KTAL NBC 6 and KMSS FOX 33 Cares Krewe headed to a local Walmart gas station and used dance moves, gas-waving arms and high-energy music to flag down customers in their vehicles.

Marissa Diaz, Digital Director, and Shelli Briery Murphy, Marketing Director, took over the Cares Krewe with the intention of having fun, being silly, laughing, and spreading some joy in the community.
“Who wants the gas? Yeah, yeah, yeah, pump it up. Who wants it? Yeah, yeah. Oh, I get it. Yeah, a gas subscriber,” Marissa sang.
Marissa and Shelli braved the heat outside and stopped Kayla, who was on her way to the dentist.
“How about we give you free gas today? We go out into the community and spread spontaneous acts of kindness like this,” Shelli said.
Kayla was a little shocked and confused, but after that We explained the intentions of the KTAL NBC 6 and KMSS FOX 33 Cares Krewe, she was so excited that we filled her gas tank.
“This will help me a lot. I can go on trips for about three days,” said Kayla. Kayla promised to take her children out for ice cream since she had saved some money at the gas pump.
“Thank you, Cares Krewe!” Kayla called out as she drove away with a big smile.
Marissa and Shelli weren’t finished dancing, singing and handing out free gas.
Miss Dione, a Walmart employee for over 25 years, was shocked when we surprised her and explained that we would pay for her gas.
“You’re kidding me, aren’t you?” asked Miss Dione.
Miss Dione, Marissa, Shelli and even our photographer Jason couldn’t help but show off their cool moves.
“You see, it doesn’t get better than with a full tank!” said Miss Dione.
