Upon further investigation, officers checked the vehicle’s license plates and determined that the vehicle had been rented from Sixt Rental Company. As they approached Johnson, officers noticed a faint odor of alcohol. Additionally, they saw a partially consumed Voodoo Ranger brand alcoholic beverage inside the vehicle. Johnson, who was sitting outside the car, had wet his pants, had bloodshot eyes, and was slurring his speech. Surveillance footage confirmed that Johnson had driven from the bus station to the rideshare parking lot. Because he had difficulty standing, Johnson required officers’ assistance. While speaking with Johnson, officers noticed the odor of alcohol on his breath. Johnson agreed to participate in sobriety tests, but performed poorly on all tests. Based on his test results and general demeanor, Johnson was arrested on August 23 for driving under the influence and possession of an open bottle of alcohol.

Tyler Dillion Johnson, of Valley View Drive in Stone Mountain, GA, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 23rd, charged with driving while intoxicated and violating the open liquor ban.
