The Chesapeake Arts Center hosts the 10th annual Arts in the Park Festival on October 5

The Chesapeake Arts Center (CAC) will celebrate its 10th annual free “Arts in the Park” community festival on Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event, held in front of the CAC’s main theater, is expected to attract over 1,000 local residents, arts lovers and community organizations for a day of vibrant entertainment, live music, interactive arts activities and more.

A decade of community celebration

Since its launch in 2014, Arts in the Park has grown significantly, evolving from a small gathering of citizens and art dealers to a major local event with over 70 dealers and more than 1,000 attendees. This year’s festival is a milestone for CAC as it expands its reach into the BPMS parking lot and introduces new offerings including a Food Truck Alley and additional free art activities for children and adults.

What to expect

The festival features a variety of attractions including live music, a community mural project, stunning art exhibits and exciting giveaways. The event is designed to showcase the creative spirit of the community while raising vital funds to support the CAC’s mission to foster creativity, build connections and inspire joy through year-round arts programs.

“This year, AIP’s 10th anniversary, is shaping up to be our biggest and most exciting event yet. We hope to bring even more art to our ever-growing creative community,” said a CAC spokesperson.

The full program of performers, artists and vendors from the community will be announced in early to mid-September.
