In recent years, remote working has become more prevalent and the implications that come with it can be a boon for some industries. People have the opportunity to spend more time with their families and people like me find it more efficient to work from home. However, it is important that the device that connects you to the outside world is both reliable and durable. And that’s where my job comes in.
I recently received the Dell Inspiron 14 7441that offers remarkable features at a relatively low price. Choosing a laptop that you’ll use at least 40 hours a week is an important decision. But there’s more than one reason why you should add the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus to your shopping cart.
For this reason, as a remote worker, I would buy the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus.
Long-lasting reliability
The most important consideration when buying a laptop is your budget. At the moment, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7441 costs $899 from Dell (originally $1,099).Staying in the triple digits is technically affordable in the laptop world, even if it is closer to $1,000. It comes with a Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100 processor16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 14-inch 2560 x 1600 60Hz touchscreen. However, if your budget allows, I’d recommend the $999 model, which gets you a Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 CPU and a 1TB SSD.
All of these specs add up to incredible performance. The Inspiron 14 Plus scored 13,281 on the Geekbench 6.3 overall performance test, beating rivals like the MacBook Air 15-inch M3 (12,087). It’s cheaper than a MacBook and more powerful than a MacBook.
Then there’s the battery life. Dell has optimized its Inspiron series to offer long-lasting batteries. Combine that with the new efficient Snapdragon X Plus and you get a laptop that lasts 18 hours and 20 minutes. For comparison: The longest lasting laptop we tested was the Dell XPS 13which achieved an average time of 19:01 (19:31 after the BIOS update).
Another important and impressive value is heat. Given the name, you might think that you are buying a laptop To Your lap. Well, no. Most laptops are blazing hot and you don’t want them anywhere near your skin.
The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus, however, got the job done. Its thermal system is incredibly efficient, and its bottom climbed to just 88 degrees Fahrenheit (after 15 minutes of streaming), which is safely below our comfort threshold of 95 degrees. Its hottest temperature was 100 degrees, just above the F8 key, which your fingers probably won’t touch.
Working from home can be difficult if you don’t have a good webcam, but luckily the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is one of the few laptops that has a decent 1080p camera. It balances contrast well, displays accurate colors, and is sharp enough without distorting images. You should look good because you Do looks good.
Okay, let’s summarize.
outlook
The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus scores just right in the “working from home” category.
Long battery life is important for those who spend a lot of time on the go at home. It’s also quite portable, which isn’t essential if you work from home. However, it’s nice that the Inspiron 14 Plus weighs just 3.1 pounds and is only 0.6 to 0.7 inches thick.
Working on the couch is better than sitting at a desk all day. And thanks to the cool warmth, it stays on your lap without having to find a pillow to rest your legs. The powerful performance should be enough for most tasks as long as you’re not working with demanding apps.
And last but not least, the webcam: it gives you a professional look, which is useful if you want to make a good first impression (especially at job interviews).
If I were looking for a new laptop for remote work, I would go for the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus.
