MAMMOTH CAVE, Kentucky (WBKO) – One of the Bluegrass State’s natural wonders seems to be taking recent criticism in stride.
Mammoth Cave National Park has been named one of the “most disappointing” tourist attractions in the United States on social media, citing a study that found the cave was “too dark” and had “nothing cool” to offer.
However, in the spirit of “any press is good press,” Mammoth Cave took the opportunity to turn the negative reviews into advertising. The park made fun of the review on Facebook:
The post received over 82,000 likes and nearly 6,000 comments.
“I was disappointed on every. single. tour,” wrote one Facebook user. “I can never get enough of the miserable geology, history and nature right on my doorstep.”
“I can’t wait to disappoint my kids by taking them away like my parents did to me. Generations of disappointment,” another shared.
