New interior design, furniture store restores 78-year-old building in Ocala

A new interior design and furniture store that restored a 78-year-old building near downtown Ocala will open its doors Friday.

Alva House of Style will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, August 30th and a grand opening celebration on Saturday, August 31st at its new store located at 507 SW 10th Street.

The new space is located in a former antique store. According to Marion County land records, the building was constructed in 1946.

In March, the city granted a building permit for the site.

The new company is owned by Amy Alvarado and Silver Springs Holdings, LLC, which is registered to Nathan Sands.

At its grand opening, the company is offering its first 50 customers a free gift.

Alva House of Style offers a diverse range of products including home decor items such as vases, chairs, figurines, rugs, lamps, sculptures and dozens of other items.

In addition to decorative items, the company has a large collection of high-quality furniture, including sofas, chairs, benches, buffets, cabinets, beds, nightstands and a variety of accent furniture.
