NATCHEZ – Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a fire that broke out in a mobile home at 39 Saragossa Road Saturday afternoon, but a quarter to a third of the home was already damaged, Natchez Fire Chief Robert Arrington said.

“Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the trailer upon arrival, but a quarter to a third of it was heavily damaged and there was smoke damage throughout,” Arrington said.

Fortunately, there were no injuries among residents or firefighters fighting the fire, he said.

“When we received the call, there were people in the house, but they had safely exited before we arrived,” Arrington said.
