A new bubble tea shop is set to take over a former beauty salon on Lothian Road in Edinburgh.

It will take the place of the “Brave, Strong, Beautiful” hair and beauty salon after it recently closed.

CUPP was founded in Bristol in 2012 after the founders spent time in Taiwan learning the origins and authentic techniques of bubble tea.

The Instagram-worthy beverage menu offers a huge variety, including fruit teas, milk teas, brown sugar teas, cloud series drinks, coffee boba, and baby bobas for the little ones.

The store offers fully customizable drinks with countless combinations to choose from.

In some of their stores across the UK they offer snacks such as chips, bagels and even sushi. It is unknown whether the Edinburgh store will stock them or not.

CUPP also offers ice cream combinations such as toffee popcorn boba ice cream.

The successful bubble tea shop opened its northernmost store in Moray in June. Queues formed around the building on opening day and the same is expected in Edinburgh.

There is no news about the opening date, the posters just say “soon”.
