Plankton has been trying to steal the Krabby Patty’s secret formula for decades – but now someone seems to have gotten there first.

Wendy’s.

Several photos are circulating that are said to be from an internal memo sent by Wendy’s corporate headquarters to some of its stores announcing a partnership between the company and Paramount, owners of SpongeBob SquarePants, for an official Krabby Patty to be sold this fall — as well as companion Frosty.

While there’s no confirmation yet (and Wendy’s and Paramount aren’t responding to our emails on the subject), it would be an oddly pleasant experience – even if the burger itself is neither amazing nor vegan.

In the SpongeBob SquarePants cartoons, the Krabby Patty is a meatless hamburger made from a seaweed bun, deep-sea products, and a patty with mystery ingredients. Series creator Stephen Hillenburg says that whatever is in the Krabby Patty itself is not meat, and that it was created in the cartoon by Mr. Krabs and Plankton.

According to the letter, which supposedly comes from Wendy’s, the Krabby Patty produced there will contain meat – but will be garnished with “a secret Krabby Patty sauce that captures the magic of the legendary fictional sandwich for SpongeBob fans.”

This will reportedly be sold alongside a vanilla-flavored Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty and a pineapple-mango puree.

This comes just as SpongeBob SquarePants celebrates its 25th anniversary and would be the latest in a long line of product partnerships with Wendy’s dating back 20 years, drawing subtle comparisons such as SpongeBob wearing Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas’s signature red tie and the square burger patties matching SpongeBob SquarePants.

If all of this proves to be true, the partnership between Wendy’s and SpongeBob SquarePants is set to begin on October 8 and run through November 11 at all participating Wendy’s stores in the United States, Canada and Guam.
