Linkin Park launch cryptic 100-hour countdown

Linkin Park launch cryptic 100-hour countdown

Linkin Park have started a very exciting 100-hour countdown today…

The band updated their social media pages with a mysterious (and way too long for our liking) video timer and also linked to their website, which features the same countdown.

Interestingly, the LP website’s domain has just been updated to “ø.linkinpark.com,” and the official, uncredited YouTube video of the countdown is also just titled “ø.” That’s got to mean something, right?

But it’s pretty hard to say what this is hinting at. The band has done some cool nostalgic stuff – from their album Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000 – 2023) to last year’s super deluxe 20th anniversary box set of Meteora – but this first teaser seems to be something bigger.

In late April, Billboard reported that Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Dave Farrell are “thinking about a possible reunion tour in 2025 and considering bringing in a female singer to replace late lead singer Chester Bennington,” with booking agency WME “taking offers for a possible Linkin Park tour.” Does that have anything to do with it?

Anyway, according to our calculations, the timer should end at 7pm (BST) on Wednesday 28th August, so see you then to find out what’s going on!
