Procurement and methodology
Press-Enterprise readers were able to cast their votes online from April 19 to May 19 to choose winners in 117 categories ranging from favorite local spots and great restaurants to the best auto repair shops and garden centers/nursery stores. Participants were allowed to vote only once per day and had to vote in at least 20 categories for their opinion to be counted. Reader participation and the businesses voted on spanned a broad swath of the Inland Empire, stretching beyond Riverside from Corona to San Bernardino, Redlands and Beaumont north and south, and including Lake Elsinore, Murrieta and Temecula.
