I’m in the process of packing up our apartment for an upcoming move across town (city is Brooklyn) and I’m at the stage where I’m rethinking every piece of furniture. Is there anything you’ve thrown away in a move that you regret?

I know for sure that I won’t be parting with my kitchen essentials – I dedicated this week’s Thursday edition to the pieces that helped us make the most of our very, very small space.

Today’s guest editor is Los Angeles-based stylist Merisa Libbey. She’s a longtime Domino collaborator with an incredible eye, and the projects she brings us are always soulful, inviting, and as warm as the California sun. She also has a bit of a wild streak—in a past life, she fronted a popular underground punk band—and I like to think that inspired her theme for Current Mood: chartreuse.

What I love at the moment: The color chartreuse. I’ve also seen certain shades called citron or citrine. It’s basically a yellow-green. It’s versatile, fun and bold, and as long as you choose the right shade, it’s easy to live with.

I would recommend it to someone who likes…refreshing, invigorating moments of color in your home.

Three real-life ways I would try it:

  1. Inspired by the Hotel Covell, I took a risk and had Clad Home make me a custom light green sofa unit (above right). I’m obsessed.
  2. If a whole sofa seems too much effort, try a sofa cushion or blanket.
