COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (KKTV) – For the fourth time this week – and about 30th this year – Colorado Springs police were dispatched to a local business after a stolen car sped through the driveway and the occupants stole merchandise.

According to Springs police, the latest entry in a long list of similar crimes occurred at 4 a.m. Friday.

“Sand Creek Division officers were dispatched to a business in the 200 block of South Academy Boulevard for a report of a burglary,” said a CSPD lieutenant. “Upon arrival, officers observed the suspects gain entry to the business by driving a stolen vehicle into the business entrance.”

The lieutenant said the suspects then ran into the store and stole guns. It’s unclear how many they got away with.

Police did not release the name of the business or make of vehicle involved in this latest break-in. CSPD told 11 News that the vast majority involved Kias and Hyundais.
