Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) is pleased to announce the launch of the Explore MSO Pass program, an innovative initiative that allows ticketless guests to pass through security. This program is designed to make MSO more accessible and enjoyable, creating a welcoming atmosphere that goes beyond the typical travel experience. People can now enjoy MSO without leaving by plane.

“We are thrilled to introduce the Explore MSO Pass program to our community,” said Brian Ellestad, airport director for Missoula Montana Airport. “This initiative reflects our commitment to enhancing the airport experience for everyone. Now ticketless guests can say goodbye to loved ones at the gate, greet them upon arrival, relax on the outdoor patio and enjoy a meal or beverage while experiencing the unique atmosphere of MSO.”

Previously only accessible to airline passengers, Kettlehouse Bar & Grill and Coldsmoke Tavern offer a wide variety of delicious food and beverage options. With two unique locations, customers can choose between traditional seating or the outdoor patio overlooking the runway. Additionally, Black Coffee Roasting Company offers grab-and-go food, beverages and retail items with pre- and post-security locations.

For those who want to relax and enjoy the view, the Observation Lounge on the 3rd floor offers a cozy place to wait for arriving flights or just watch planes landing and taking off. This lounge features a fireplace, comfortable armchairs and sofas and offers stunning views of the Rocky Mountains.

To celebrate the launch of the Explore MSO Pass, MSO will host a series of “pop-up” events next summer ranging from beer tastings to yoga sessions on the deck. These exclusive events will provide the public with a unique opportunity to experience the airport. Tim Damrow, Deputy Director of Missoula Montana Airport, emphasized, “The Explore MSO Pass is a game changer for our airport. It allows us to open our doors even further to our public and makes the airport itself a destination. We hope people come to enjoy the pop-up events and utilize this program in the future. We look forward to seeing how this initiative will bring even more people together at MSO.”

The program begins August 19. For more details on how to get your Explore MSO Pass and our upcoming events, visit www.flymissoula.com/explore-mso-pass.
