The update on the iPhone 16 launch was provided by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. In the latest edition of his newsletter “Power On,” he explained that Apple plans to air the video at the Steve Jobs Theater, a practice the company has followed for many years. The entire presentation will be live-streamed across a variety of channels, and the report also mentioned that the new iPhone 16 models will be officially available for purchase 10 days after the announcement ends, which is on September 20.
“Apple’s September product launches typically take place on the first Tuesday or Wednesday after Labor Day, and it looks like this year will follow the same pattern. The company has finished filming its iPhone 16 launch video and plans to hold an event on its campus on Tuesday, September 10. According to previous reports, Apple intends to ramp up production of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, with the Cupertino company’s largest model accounting for the largest volume, suggesting that these two will lead the company’s first 90 million shipments for 2024. Foxconn has also reportedly hired 50,000 additional workers to meet demand, suggesting that the few weeks after launch day will be intense. And while there are still a few weeks left until the iPhone 16 launch, leaked promotional images have been making the rounds, which isn’t surprising, but these reports and leaks suggest that we’re in for a jam-packed keynote.
