Police tracked down the repairman, a 22-year-old Shelton resident, who reportedly admitted to dumping trash in the park during their conversation.

He was fined $770 for dumping garbage on public property.

Domestic incident

Police responded to the domestic incident when the man’s wife called shortly after 10 p.m.

Officers’ accounts conflict, but they learned that the argument escalated into a scuffle and more physical altercations. They concluded that the father was allegedly the “dominant aggressor,” which led to his arrest, police said.

He was released on $2,500 bail and was scheduled to appear in court the next day.

According to police, the son had a bruise on his neck and a scratch on his chin. He was examined by Monroe EMS and then taken to Bridgeport Hospital for further evaluation.

Police said the driver was reportedly not injured, but was evaluated by Monroe EMS and taken to Bridgeport Hospital for further evaluation.

The Honda was towed away due to total loss and the driver received a warning for speeding.

The rollover accident occurred in the 90 block of Old Newtown Road around 6:45 a.m.
