MIAMI – Miami police issued a safety alert Monday following a disturbing incident reportedly captured on surveillance video in Little Havana last week.

According to investigators, the video shows a man peeking through the window of a home near the intersection of Southwest 10th Street and Seventh Avenue around 6:45 a.m. on August 21 and behaving lewdly.

According to police, surveillance video shows the perpetrator peering through the living room window of a four-family home where children were present and touching himself while standing outside.

Authorities said the children’s father was alerted to the situation by a neighbor who initially thought someone might be trying to break into the house.

According to the authorities, the father noticed the perpetrator’s disturbing behavior when reviewing the surveillance footage and reported him to the police.

Police are currently actively searching for the man who was last seen driving a black Honda Civic.

Police did not say how many children were in the house when the incident was reported.
